Who owns Pret A Manger?
Pret A Manger is a private company. After 25 years, founders Julian Metcalfe and Sinclair Beecham are still significant shareholders. Julian works in the business nearly everyday! The majority stake of the company has recently been acquired by European equity firm Bridgepoint.
Bridgepoint was chosen as a partner to Pret because the Bridgepoint team shares both the Pret vision and understands the Pret culture. It really is business as usual for the teams. Pret remains dedicated to selling healthy, preservative-free, fresh food.Bridgepoint's investment is an opportunity to transform Pret A Manger from a domestic to an international business through controlled prudent expansion while maintaining everything that makes Pret work for both our customers and staff.
What foods are suitable for mums to be?
Although you should steer away from the smoked salmon and brie, all our mayos and yoghurts are pasteurised and so are completely safe for you to enjoy. Any questions, please call us on +852 2520 0445. In addition, you can view details of all our products here.
Why aren't the nutritional details of your sandwiches on the packets?
The volume of sandwiches, baguettes and wraps that our teams produce takes an awful lot of hard work and skill. Asking them to then select the right box for the right sandwich is, to be honest, one step more than we are currently prepared to ask of them. A full nutritional breakdown can be found in the menu section on this website for each and every product at Pret. If you want to know about something while in the shop, any member of the team will happily find this out for you, or you could always ring us on +852 2520 0445 during office hours.
Can you make your hot drinks with soya milk?
Soya milk is now available in all of our shops. If it's not in your local Pret, have a word with the manager.
Franchising (we don't)
Franchising – sorry we don’t. Please don’t call us and ask for a franchise because we don’t; we really don’t. We don’t franchise. The fact is, we don’t like to franchise, so we don’t.
