Pret operates a bit like a restaurant. Every Pret has its own kitchen (except for one or two of the tiny ones). You won’t find ‘sell by’ dates on our fresh sandwiches and salads. Unfortunately due to some of our stores' licences' we have to label some made to sell products - they are all labeled for the same day.  We don’t sell ‘factory’ stuff. We offer our food to charity at the end of each day rather than keep it over.

It’s important our sandwiches and salads taste better than everybody else’s. To achieve this, every day vans deliver our good, natural ingredients. Our chefs get cracking early in the morning to provide our customers with the freshest breakfast or lunch possible!

We shun the obscure chemicals, additives and preservatives common to so much ‘prepared’ and ‘fast’ food. We don’t mind that fresh and fragile ingredients go off quickly – we start from scratch each morning. Our menu is updated seasonally, so check back often.

When it comes to eating right, we don't think 'low fat' and 'points' but if you do, then you'll find all the information you need on this website. It used to be simple: eat a variety of fresh vegetables , fruit, grains, dairy, fish and meat and you were dong fine. When we became more “successful” and had less time to prepare and eat meals, the fast food industry stepped in to “help us out”. Now, we get a diet of over-processed food rich in refined sugar and starches, sodium and saturated fats. As if that’s not enough, processed food has so little or no taste that it needs to be pumped full of artificial flavour, colouring and preservatives to make it almost edible.

The secret of our success is that or service is fast but we don’t sell fast food. We have our own ides of processed food: each day our suppliers drop fresh ingredients off to every shop kitchen where our team members are busy baking, chopping, slicing and tossing all day long. This lets us bring you delicious food that s rich in vitamins and nutrients without the wait.
